OceanCity.com
Rebuilt Ocean City, Maryland’s destination guide from an aging WordPress site into a fast Next.js app, implementing the Figma handoff, migrating the directory into Postgres, and building a custom admin so the team runs the site themselves.

OceanCity.com is the visitor’s guide to Ocean City, Maryland: hotels, restaurants, events, and things to do, with booking built in. The site had outgrown its aging WordPress and GeoDirectory setup and needed a relaunch that was faster for visitors and far easier for the team to manage.
I handled development on the rebuild: turning the high-fidelity Figma handoff into production Next.js, migrating the legacy WordPress directory data into Neon Postgres with Drizzle, and building a custom admin section so their team can manage listings and content without touching code.
What shipped
- Legacy WordPress site rebuilt into a fast, modern Next.js app
- High-fidelity Figma handoff implemented faithfully in production code
- GeoDirectory → Neon Postgres data migration (Drizzle ORM)
- Custom admin section for team-managed listings and content
